Hannah Bertram is one of the 750 artists participating in the FRAGILE Global Performance chain journey. This is a visionary global people project in which artists from 63 countries are working together for one of the most elaborate work of Performance art ever attempted, making a vision become reality: since September 2010, one fragile object is traveling around the globe, carried personally from hand to hand. One artist delivers the object personally to the next, and each participant contributes with their art to the project.

The object is traveling one time around the globe to return one day to its place of departure, Florence (IT), intact and charged. Being not a battle against time, or a journey around the world in eighty days, the art initiative shows that it takes patience and collaboration to make a vision turn reality. The project wishes to stimulate reflection on fragile states, to raise consciousness about social responsibility, and finally and foremost: to connect people.

The official website  www.fragile-global-performance.net is dedicated to the documentation of the art works realized by participating artist with the one and same traveling fragile object.

Cristina Valdepina passes the FRAGILE object to Fabio Guzman in Spain.
